In an industry traditionally dominated by men, Veronica Oleson is making waves with Magnolia Remodeling, a woman-owned remodeling and general contracting business dedicated to reshaping the construction landscape. Oleson’s mission goes beyond building and renovating homes—she is building a community that empowers women in the trades and ensures that all clients feel safe and heard throughout the construction process.
Oleson’s journey to entrepreneurship was anything but conventional. Raised in a strict religious household with eleven siblings, she grew up facing poverty, neglect, and a deep struggle with self-worth. Leaving home at 17, she was determined to break the cycle of hardship and create a different life for herself and her future children. Through years of therapy and self-discovery, she found healing and strength in using her voice—something she now encourages others to do. “There is this tremendous amount of healing that comes when you are able to USE YOUR VOICE to tell your story,” says Oleson.
Magnolia Remodeling stands out in the construction industry by prioritizing inclusivity, safety, and communication. Women make up only six percent of the construction workforce, and Oleson is committed to changing that statistic by mentoring and providing opportunities for women to thrive in the field. She also emphasizes the importance of ensuring that both women and members of the LGBTQ+ community feel safe when hiring contractors for their homes.
Her advocacy for women in construction earned her a spot on The Blox, the largest entrepreneur competition reality TV show. Selected from over 10,000 applicants, she used this platform to bring attention to the need for diversity in the construction industry and to inspire others to pursue their passions fearlessly.
Beyond Magnolia Remodeling, Oleson continues to empower others through mentorship and her newly launched podcast, Self-Love Sessions. Focused on self-empowerment, the podcast provides a platform for women to share their stories and find strength in vulnerability. Through her work, she has helped guide women out of unhealthy relationships and into entrepreneurship, demonstrating that confidence and self-love can be transformative forces.
With her unwavering commitment to advocacy, business, and personal growth, Veronica Oleson is not just remodeling homes—she’s remodeling the industry itself, creating a space where women are seen, heard, and empowered to build their futures.
