Over the past five years, WOEA has awarded more than $100,000 in grants to women-owned businesses and offered $20,000 in scholarships for young girls pursuing higher education.

The foundation also launched the Empowerment Project, which partners with women’s shelters in the Greater Toronto Area and Indigenous communities to deliver essential products and services to those in need. These efforts go beyond charitable donations to directly help women rebuild their lives and access the resources required for a better future.

One of the most impactful aspects of the Women Empowerment Awards is its annual event, which brings together women from diverse backgrounds to celebrate their accomplishments. Many young girls from underprivileged backgrounds are invited to experience this celebration, with full glam makeovers and surrounded by 450 powerful women, offering them an unforgettable evening of female empowerment that reinforces the importance of fulfilling their dreams.
