Kelley Daguerre built Okanagan Fashion House, drawing on her entrepreneurial journey and the art of elevated living in British Columbia's Okanagan Valley.
Kelley Daguerre, founder of Okanagan Fashion House, has been recognized by Best of Best Review as the Best Emerging Luxury Fashion Brand in Canada of 2026, marking a milestone in her entrepreneurial journey. Drawing on her leadership experience, personal reinvention, and the lifestyle of British Columbia's Okanagan Valley, Daguerre is building a fashion brand centred on strength, individuality, and modern femininity.
Fashion often begins with a point of view. For Kelley Daguerre, that perspective has been shaped by years of leading executive teams, raising a family, building businesses, and navigating the challenges of starting over. Today, she channels those experiences into Okanagan Fashion House, a fashion venture inspired by the lifestyle and individuality of women in British Columbia's Okanagan Valley.
At the heart of the business is HAUS DAGUERRE, a signature clothing line built around the belief that women should not have to choose between strength and femininity, comfort and sophistication, or ambition and personal expression. The brand reflects Daguerre's vision of clothing that complements the many roles women embrace throughout their lives.
After moving to Kelowna, British Columbia, Daguerre noticed that many women embraced athleisure as their everyday style. She observed women carrying oversized gym bags filled with yoga mats, extra shoes, swimsuits, and additional outfits as they moved from morning workouts to lakeside lunches, afternoons of boating, and evenings at local wineries.
Inspired by this lifestyle, Daguerre envisioned an elevated athleisure brand that could transition effortlessly from morning to night, combining comfort, quality, and sophisticated design.
Her signature leggings feature slimming V-shaped panels at the front and back, designed to enhance curves and provide tummy control. The metallic gold HAUS DAGUERRE HD logo at the front waistline adds a luxurious finishing touch, transforming everyday leggings into an elevated fashion statement.
The newest collection features interchangeable pieces in a colour palette inspired by the Okanagan landscape and its celebrated wines. Shades include black, named "Pinot Noir", rich chocolate brown, blush pink, named "Sparkling Rosé" after one of her favorite Okanagan wines, "Lakeside Blue," representing the beautiful lake, and elegant cream and white tones inspired by the luxurious yachts seen throughout the region.
Beyond athleisure, HAUS DAGUERRE introduces its Estate Collection, featuring comfortable fabrics and sophisticated designs that balance elegance, femininity, and confidence. The collection includes one-piece catsuits, evening sets with plunging necklines, and statement bodysuits designed for women who command attention when entering a room.
Additional pieces include vegan leather jackets in "Bordeaux," faux fur designs, authentic fox fur jackets, luxury leather purses, and a luxury ski suit collection available in pastel blue, pink, and black. The ski suits feature faux fur collars and the signature metallic gold HAUS DAGUERRE HD logo.
Looking ahead, Daguerre and her three older children are preparing to expand the brand with an elevated men's streetwear collection, a baby clothing line, and a luxury pet collection.
A Career Defined By Reinvention
Before entering fashion, Kelley Daguerre built a healthcare career, earning a Bachelor of Science in Nursing with high honours in 1999. Her career later expanded into executive leadership, operations, and marketing.
By 2009, Daguerre had established a reputation for helping entrepreneurs build businesses, using her negotiation skills to secure multimillion-dollar contracts. Her expertise attracted recruiters from Western Canada and the United States.
In 2014, she relocated with her four children from rural Nova Scotia to Calgary, Alberta, to become Executive Director of Nursing and Operations at a privately owned luxury nursing facility serving 240 patients. Her responsibilities included overseeing operations, managing teams, and navigating the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic.
In 2021, Daguerre stepped away from executive healthcare leadership to pursue new opportunities. She began teaching in Calgary, explored short-term rental properties, and founded Bridgeland Poodles, a Canadian Kennel Club-registered Standard Poodle breeding program. Through the program, she bred Standard Poodles and personally delivered 40 purebred puppies, all in her spacious walk-in closet.
Throughout her career, Daguerre has demonstrated a consistent entrepreneurial spirit, transforming new ideas into businesses while embracing opportunities for reinvention.
Finding Inspiration in the Okanagan

In June 2024, Kelley Daguerre relocated to Kelowna, British Columbia, with her youngest son and Poodles. Surrounded by vineyards, mountains, and Okanagan Lake, she found inspiration in the region's distinctive lifestyle and the women who embraced it.
She observed women transitioning between fitness activities, coffee meetings, boating, winery visits, and evening gatherings. Their routines inspired her to create versatile clothing that combined comfort, elegance, and sophistication without compromising personal style.
Each piece in her first collection was inspired by a character she encountered during her first year in the Okanagan. This creative approach is reflected in the brand's distinctive photo shoots, featuring models wearing bunny masks, walking pink poodles, or posing on yachts in black face masks while holding bags of money embossed with the HD logo.
From the designs and carefully selected models to the imaginative photo shoot themes, every detail reflects the individuality and luxurious lifestyle of the Okanagan and helps shape the identity of HAUS DAGUERRE.
HAUS DAGUERRE: The Meaning Behind The Name
The name HAUS DAGUERRE connects the brand's identity to Daguerre's family heritage. The French name “Daguerre” translates to “of war” in English . Together, the name symbolises "House of War," reflecting the personal battles women face throughout their lives, from careers and motherhood to relationships, self-confidence, and new beginnings.
Rather than defining women by their struggles, the brand celebrates the resilience, courage, and grace required to overcome challenges and embrace change.
HAUS DAGUERRE brings this philosophy to life through fashion designed for women who are confident, feminine, ambitious, and unapologetically themselves. At its core, the brand represents the belief that strength and elegance can coexist, allowing women to express their individuality without limitations.
Designing For The Woman With More Than One Role
HAUS DAGUERRE redefines elevated leisurewear with versatile pieces that transition effortlessly from workouts and coffee meetings to winery visits and evening occasions.
Combining flattering silhouettes, thoughtful details, and understated luxury, the brand offers women the freedom to embrace comfort and elegance while expressing their individuality throughout the day.
Building a Fashion Business With Family at Its Centre

Family plays a role in the development of Okanagan Fashion House. According to the brand, Daguerre's four children are cofounders, contributing to a shared vision.
Their involvement adds a multigenerational dimension to the venture. The business is both a creative project and a family enterprise with ambitions to expand across markets and product categories.
The brand has reportedly expanded throughout Canada and the United States, with plans for additional collections.
These extensions would broaden the business beyond its original fashion concept, serving different lifestyle needs while retaining its founding identity.
Expansion also brings practical considerations, including product development, quality control, and consistency across categories.
As Okanagan Fashion House grows, preserving a recognisable point of view will help ensure new offerings remain connected to the wider brand.
From Okanagan Inspiration to a Broader Lifestyle Vision
Okanagan Fashion House provides the wider platform for Daguerre's fashion ambitions, while HAUS DAGUERRE serves as its signature clothing line.
The distinction gives the business room to develop its identity and explore new categories without losing sight of the collection's central philosophy. The Okanagan supplies the lifestyle inspiration, while the fashion house represents the broader vision of bringing distinctive, elevated style to women with varied interests and routines.
For Daguerre, the opportunity is to build a brand that reflects more than a particular location or clothing category. It is about translating a way of life into a collection that can appeal to women well beyond British Columbia.
Her own career offers a parallel. Moving from nursing and executive leadership into teaching, hospitality-related entrepreneurship, dog breeding, and fashion demonstrates a willingness to apply existing skills in unfamiliar settings. That same spirit of reinvention sits at the heart of HAUS DAGUERRE.
Looking Ahead
The development of Okanagan Fashion House represents another chapter in Daguerre's entrepreneurial journey. With HAUS DAGUERRE as its signature clothing line and additional categories planned, the business is working to build a broader lifestyle identity inspired by confidence, versatility, and modern femininity.
Its next phase will depend on translating that vision into collections and customer experiences that remain consistent as the business grows. The opportunity lies in serving women whose lives extend beyond a single setting, offering clothing and lifestyle products that reflect the different ways they work, relax, socialise, and express themselves.
For Daguerre, fashion is ultimately connected to a larger idea: women should have the freedom to define themselves on their own terms. Through Okanagan Fashion House and HAUS DAGUERRE, she is building a business around that belief, drawing on the lessons of her own reinvention and the inspiration she found in her adopted home.
