Originally from London but of Nigerian descent, James expressed gratitude to Camera Nazionale Della Moda Italiana for allowing him to maintain a key timeslot while emphasizing the importance of a local showcase. “We’re very grateful that they realized how important it is to us,” James remarked. Instead of reminiscing about the past, James views this anniversary as a source of newfound confidence. “I’ve always had fraudster syndrome in the industry,” he admitted, “but I was able to continue doing it for 10 years and doing it my way was exciting.” This confidence is reflected in his collection, which emphasizes key elements such as tailored pieces, leather outerwear, and a noteworthy range of dresses designed for the upcoming season.
