Millie Bobby Brown and Jake Bongiovi: A Journey to Marriage
Actress Millie Bobby Brown, known for her role in Stranger Things, surprised many when she announced her engagement to Jake Bongiovi, son of the renowned musician Jon Bon Jovi. Brown was just 19 at the time. Nearly a year into their married life, Brown has shared insights into why she felt ready to marry Bongiovi.
During a conversation on the Call Her Daddy podcast, Brown revealed that the decision to marry became clearer once she and Bongiovi began living together. Their relationship deepened as they navigated daily life, including caring for their pets.
“We had dogs together, and we were taking care of our animals, and we started living this day-to-day life,” Brown recounted. “I thought, ‘Oh, I really don’t think I could ever see you as anything else. I don’t want to be with anyone else ever again.'” – Millie Bobby Brown
The couple’s discussions evolved to include significant topics, leading Brown to admire a deeper connection with Bongiovi.
“When we started talking about politics and how we want to raise our kids…we started talking about really, really big things that I’d obviously never spoken about,” Brown explained.
As these conversations unfolded, Brown realized the depth of her commitment to Bongiovi, stating that she began envisioning a lifelong partnership with him.
Despite not knowing Bongiovi’s thoughts on marriage at the time, Brown was delighted when he proposed, describing the moment as a natural progression of their relationship.
“Everything aligned,” remarked Brown regarding the proposal.
The couple exchanged vows in a private ceremony in May 2024, attended by close family members, including Bongiovi’s parents, Jon and Dorothea, and Brown’s parents, Kelly and Robert.
Jon Bon Jovi endorsed the union fondly on BBC’s The One Show, expressing his happiness for the newlyweds. “The bride looked gorgeous and Jake is happy as can be,” he said.
