Tom Holland and Zendaya are keeping their longtime romance low-key, but that’s by design. In a recent interview with Men’s Health, Holland explained that while he intentionally skips red carpets with his girlfriends, it’s not because he lacks acting pride. In fact, the reason is actually quite sweet.
Holland explained that although he will attend Zendaya’s premiere, he is opting out of walking the carpet with her, saying, “It’s not my moment, it’s her moment, and if we go together… , because it’s about us.”

He has the same sentiments about other events he is not obligated to attend, such as live performances. He doesn’t want his fame or interaction with fans to diminish the value of the other actors involved in the project.

Elsewhere in the interview, Holland said he plans to one day leave the industry to pursue another dream: becoming a father. “When I have children, you won’t see me in movies anymore,” he predicted. “[It’s going to be]just golf and being a dad, and I’m going to disappear off the face of the earth.” Zendaya has previously expressed a desire to have children in the future.

Despite being one of Hollywood’s most beloved couples, Holland and Zendaya have managed to maintain a normal life outside of fame. They share two dogs, Noon and Daphne, and he enjoys playing golf in his free time. He recently recalled playing golf with a professional athlete and calling Zendaya a fanboy over the interaction. “It was the best day of my life. I called the woman and said, ‘Listen, I’m thinking of turning pro,'” he said.
He also recalled another very relatable moment, during which he wanted to prove to his girlfriend and younger cousin that he could still do backflips, while also revealing his sweet nickname for Zendaya. “Z was there and she was like, ‘Can you still do this?'” he recalled, adding that he pulled off the trick but later paid the price. “I actually landed, but I engaged all my stomach muscles, because when you do a backflip, it’s all about reaching up as high as you can before you tuck. I laughed because my stomach hurt for weeks. I couldn’t do it.
During a recent appearance on the Dish podcast with Nick Grimshaw and Angela Hartnett, Holland gushed about Zendaya, calling her “the best thing that ever happened to me,” while also praising her cooking skills. . “I actually love Zendaya’s spicy vodka fusilli singamaggi,” he said. “And it’s delicious.”
