Ahead of the annual concert, Middleton shared a message of hope with a heartfelt letter to the 1,600 guests in attendance. “Christmas is one of my favorite times of the year,” she wrote. “It’s a time of celebration and joy, but it also gives us a chance to slow down and reflect on the deeper things that connect us all.” She continued, “When we stop and free ourselves from the pressures of everyday life, We can open our hearts and find the space to live our lives with love, kindness, and forgiveness. That’s what the spirit of Christmas is all about.” ”

Middleton has stayed out of the spotlight for much of this year since announcing her cancer diagnosis in March. But in September, she revealed that she had completed chemotherapy and was looking forward to returning to royal duties, although the road to recovery was still “long”.

“But I’m looking forward to getting back to work and taking on some more public engagements in the coming months if possible,” she said in an emotional video. “Despite everything that has happened, I enter this new phase of recovery with renewed hope and appreciation for life.”
