Bella Hadid is buzzing as she moves from Texas to New York, Aspen, and back to her adopted home in the Lone Star State. Her style evolved into an authentic Western, with myriad washes of denim, big buckle belts, wide-brimmed hats, plaids, and fringed jackets. During her recent surprise appearance on the final season of the hit Western drama Yellowstone, Hadid pulled out cowboy boots from her wardrobe and blended her character’s look with Sadie’s. All the while, Hadid maintained a true allegiance to vintage and archival pieces.
The supermodel stuck to her rodeo-ready aesthetic while heading out to a horse breeding event in Texas with her boyfriend, cowboy and experienced equestrian Adan Banuelos. Brown leather belt with thick silver buckle. It was a more casual, pared-back cowgirl look, but on her feet she wore some pretty special vintage cowboy boots that had a bit of a backstory to them.

A few months ago, Hadid’s stylist Molly Dixon and her team contacted Clarissa Bowman’s UK-based AMO Vintage with a brief for vintage pieces. AMO, which Bowman started in 2020, focuses on vintage pieces from designers from the ’90s and 2000s. Think Tom Ford-era Gucci mules, pony skin rodeo belts, sexy silhouettes, and Dolce & Gabbana and Dior corsets. And, of course, killer boots: thigh-high stiletto heels, and the aforementioned cowboy variety.
Bowman was first contacted about Hadid’s dressing options in November during a press release for Hadid’s fragrance brand Orebella. “The team was incredible to work with and I was a fan of her style and often felt that the combination of products I had would be the best fit for her, so I especially loved the Western pieces. This was a very full-circle moment.” I felt like I was able to embody that! ” Bowman said.
And as for the boots on hand, Bowman added a pair of Christian Dior brown leather cowboy boots from the early 2000s John Galliano era, and hand-picked more items to send to New York. Due to shipping delays and international courier issues during the holiday period, I was concerned about doing the final fitting. “We just got an update from the team and they told us they specifically asked for Bella to bring a pair of Dior cowboy boots to the event. After days of scrolling through social media, we learned that she was going to a horse breeding event in Texas. I found out I was wearing it to accompany my boyfriend, and I couldn’t think of anything more AMO-appropriate than that.” Bowman says.
