Lynn Fulton, the CEO of Maui Health, has been honored with the 2025 Pacific Business News “Women Who Mean Business” award. This recognition celebrates women who achieve greatness in both business and community endeavors.

Maui Health shared that Fulton, who took over as CEO on January 1, 2024, has been a “transformative leader” for the organization. Her leadership has reportedly resulted in significant advancements in operational efficiency, employee and physician engagement, and the promotion of a culture centered on support, growth, and development.

“Lynn brought a deep understanding of hospital and health systems operations, driving the hospital to be self-sustaining while providing state-of-the-art care for our community and visitors,” stated Tamar Goodfellow, a board director at Maui Health. “From the moment Lynn joined Maui Health, she brought a fresh and engaging perspective that has revitalized our organization. Lynn is not just a leader but a mentor and a champion for our community.”

Fulton has dedicated over two decades to managing hospitals, ambulatory sites, and joint ventures across areas like operations, strategic planning, finance, business development, and team growth. Healthcare executives recognize her for her collaborative and thoughtful strategy in crafting strategic plans, fostering leadership development, forming robust operational teams, and aligning health systems with community needs. She is also noted for her authentic and proactive approach to trust-building and transparency, forming genuine relationships with employees, physicians, and the wider community to enhance the workplace atmosphere.

Maui Health emphasizes Fulton’s crucial focus on workforce investment, improving internal culture, and empowering staff. As CEO, she quickly introduced a comprehensive leadership development program offering ongoing education, training, and resources to help departmental leaders hone their leadership skills and advance their careers.

“In her first year as CEO, Lynn has energized the executive team and led the development of a strategic plan that will guide Maui Health’s future priorities,” said Mary Hew, a board director at Maui Health. “She is dedicated to developing our local talent, investing in their success, and is working to stabilize our workforce with career ladder programs for nursing and other healthcare career paths.”
