Drawing inspiration from God’s love for children, the brand is a family-run venture committed to spreading joy, peace, hope, and faith through colorful and fun products designed for young hearts.
The company’s mission goes beyond simply offering well-crafted products; Lindy & Friends is dedicated to fostering a sense of community and understanding by promoting diversity and the importance of caring for one another. Lindy & Friends emerged from Linda’s childhood in Cartagena, Colombia—a city rich in culture and history, and a place that left a lasting impact on her personal journey. Growing up, Linda was inspired by her grandmother, Carmen, who was an entrepreneurial spirit, sewing clothing and promoting the art of crochet and knitting. Despite coming from humble beginnings, Carmen’s hard-working attitude allowed her to become a successful entrepreneur in her hometown. Linda’s mother, Mariela, also shaped Linda’s values—her strength, faith, and resilience were instrumental in instilling the perseverance that Linda needed to pursue her dreams.
Linda’s family’s story is one of migration, resilience, and transformation. As an immigrant in the United States, Mariela came to the country with little knowledge of English, four teenage children, and a vision of building a better life. Today, Mariela is a civil engineer and a manager at a multinational company, and she also founded a non-profit organization to provide educational resources to underprivileged children in Cartagena. This legacy of hard work, faith, and giving back to others continues to drive the Lindy & Friends brand.
The inspiration behind Lindy & Friends is also rooted in Linda’s own entrepreneurial dreams. From an early age, Linda envisioned herself as a business owner. Her path to realizing this dream was not without challenges, however. In 2009, during the Great Recession, Linda experienced a difficult professional moment that led her to embrace her passion and pursue her own business venture. She graduated with a Bachelor of Design from the University of Florida and later studied Graphic Design at the Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale.
In 2012, Lindy & Friends came to life, and the company quickly gained a reputation for offering high-quality products that resonate deeply with children. The brand is dedicated to creating meaningful experiences through its products. One of their guiding principles is the belief that “It’s better to give than to receive.” This ethos is reflected in the company’s outreach efforts, which include creative children’s programs and partnerships with non-profits such as OneHope, an organization dedicated to spreading the Word of God to children worldwide.
Linda is particularly passionate about using the company’s resources to help churches teach God’s Word to children in ways that are both creative and impactful.
