A new program titled I’m Not My Mom has been introduced to assist women seeking to understand and break inherited patterns of emotional trauma and family dynamics. Developed by a founder drawing on personal experience, the course offers a structured approach to recognizing and overcoming generational challenges related to motherhood, trauma, and identity.
The course is designed around three main stages. The first stage, See the Prison, focuses on helping participants identify survival patterns formed by their nervous system in response to emotional trauma and abuse. It emphasizes awareness of unconscious behavioral rules shaped by early experiences.
The second stage, Exit the Prison, guides learners through the process of unlearning inherited patterns, addressing beliefs that contribute to cycles of sacrifice, self-abandonment, and scarcity. This step aims to empower participants to shift limiting mindsets and break free from repetitive family dynamics.
The third stage, Open to Desire, supports women in reclaiming their voice and personal needs, encouraging leadership of one’s life based on authentic desire rather than obligation. The course aims to facilitate the creation of new, self-directed realities for participants.
The founder’s motivation for developing the course stems from a personal journey of transformation. Early life experiences included exposure to emotional hardship and familial conflict, which shaped survival behaviors and perceptions of self-worth. Years later, a moment of personal crisis led to profound change, prompting a reevaluation of family patterns and the pursuit of healing. Additionally, the founder realized that, through the course of breaking the generational cycle with her own mother, she had also been unconsciously transferring the same patterns to her two daughters. Recognizing this, the founder worked intentionally to break the cycle with them as well, creating a healthier and more empowered environment for future generations.
Since that turning point, the founder has moved away from previous struggles involving work, relationships, and health challenges. The founder describes a current life marked by safety, security, and creative autonomy. The relationship with their own mother has also undergone a process of healing.
The course’s message underscores the complexity of mother-child relationships and generational patterns, framing children not as burdens but as catalysts for awareness and growth. It encourages participants to approach family cycles with truth and power rather than blame or perfection.
The I’m Not My Mom program is positioned as a resource for women who want to break free from the constraints of inherited trauma and build new legacies for themselves and their families.
