Lit New Haven: A New Era of Cannabis, Culture, and Community

New Haven, CT – Lit New Haven isn’t just another dispensary—it’s a movement, a moment, and a message. As the city’s first Black woman-owned adult-use cannabis dispensary, we’re showing up bold, unapologetic, and deeply rooted in equity, excellence, and community.

Founded by Kebra Smith-Bolden—a nurse, entrepreneur, cannabis health expert, and longtime advocate for justice—Lit New Haven is more than a business. It’s the manifestation of decades of service, advocacy, and a belief that our communities deserve access, opportunity, and healing. From medical cannabis to adult-use, Kebra has been at the forefront of Connecticut’s cannabis movement, and Lit is the next chapter in that legacy.

“This isn’t just about weed—it’s about wellness, wealth building, and walking fully in purpose,” says Smith-Bolden. “Lit New Haven was created with love for our people, for our culture, and for the city that raised me.”

At Lit, we’re curating an elevated experience—from top-shelf flower, edibles, vapes, and concentrates to a knowledgeable team that makes everyone feel seen, respected, and empowered. Whether you’re new to cannabis or a connoisseur, we’ll walk with you to find what you need—relief, rest, creativity, or connection.

But this is about more than what’s on our shelves. It’s about who’s in the room. Lit New Haven is a hub for education, community power, and economic justice. We’re intentional about hiring from our city, giving back, and pushing for policies that center equity and repair the harm done by the War on Drugs.

We source consciously, operate sustainably, and lead with integrity. And we’re not stopping at selling product—we’re building a legacy.

So on May 1st, when the doors open at 169 East Street at 4PM, we’re not just launching a business—we’re celebrating a victory. A victory for representation. A victory for Black women in cannabis. A victory for New Haven.

Come vibe with us. Learn with us. Grow with us. Get Lit—with love, with purpose, and with power.
