After searching for better sleepwear for her children, Magreth Gettis founded GettCozy, creating comfort-focused pajamas for families.
WEST CHESTER, PA — When Magreth Gettis began searching for pajamas for her children, she thought bamboo was bamboo.
She soon learned otherwise.
Despite trying countless brands, she struggled to find sleepwear that met the needs of her family. Her daughter’s eczema-prone skin often reacted to fabrics that claimed to be soft, while her son, who is on the spectrum, experienced sensory sensitivities that made many clothing details difficult to tolerate.
Like many parents, Gettis wasn’t looking to start a business. She was simply trying to solve a problem inside her own home.
What began as a search for better sleepwear evolved into years of learning about fabrics, manufacturing standards, durability, and the details that can make a meaningful difference in a child’s comfort.
Born and raised in Tanzania, Gettis moved to the United States with hopes of building a better future for her family. Years later, motherhood inspired an entirely different journey.
She began building what would eventually become GettCozy, often working during nap times, after bedtime, and in the small pockets of time that exist between raising two young children.
“I wanted to create products I felt confident putting on my own children,” said Gettis. “The more I learned, the more I realized that quality, testing, and attention to detail mattered.”
Founded in Pennsylvania, GettCozy was created with a focus on comfort, quality, and thoughtfully designed sleepwear for families. The brand emphasizes carefully selected fabrics, independent testing, and small details that help create a more comfortable experience for children.
As the company grew, Gettis wanted the brand to be about more than pajamas. She began creating story-driven collections designed to celebrate childhood imagination, resilience, and meaningful moments.
One of the brand’s most personal projects was HeroDreams, a collection inspired by a childhood cancer survivor. The collection was created to honor courage, perseverance, and hope while encouraging children to dream big despite life’s challenges.
The company’s commitment to thoughtful product development and family-focused design recently earned national recognition when GettCozy received the 2026 Best Sensory-Friendly Children’s Sleepwear Brand in the United States award from Evergreen Awards.
For Gettis, however, the recognition is not what matters most.
“Everything started with my children,” she said. “They are still the reason behind every decision we make.”

Today, GettCozy serves families across the country while remaining rooted in the same mission that inspired it from the beginning: creating comfortable, thoughtfully designed sleepwear that helps make bedtime a little easier for parents and a little cozier for children.
